I tried out a recipe I found online this morning for Chocolate Pancakes.. seriously the Best pancakes I’ve ever had =) It’s like eating chocolate cake for breakfast. What could be better??
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
1 egg
2 tbsp margarine, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
powdered sugar
Directions:
1. In med bowl, add milk, egg, margarine. Whisk until well blended.
2. In another med bowl, combine flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
3. Add milk mixture to dry mixture. Whisk until ingredients moistened. The batter may be slightly lumpy.
4. Heat skillet to med-low or low heat depending on your stove.
5. Once hot, pour 1/4 cup of batter per pancake in pan.
6. Flip once batter is set around edges. Then cook til baked through.
7. Once pancakes are cooked. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
These are mmm mmm good, you seriously gotta try them =) Especially if you’re a chocolate lover. I had them with powdered sugar, but I’m thinking next time I’m gonna try cool whip

Well I guess this is what I deserve when I take forever and a day to write anything on this blog. The site is being f*ed up and wordpress isn’t loading the page correctly so I can type anything. LoL. Guess its all in the cards. So I’m typing this up in notepad and will transfer it over when the page finally cooperates.
I wanted to write a post on here, because I know that there are some people out there who will read it, and have been reading this blog and are all curious as to how I’ve been and how my baby is doing =) I also realize that these same said people have probably just about given up coming to this page because every time they do there is never any updates. For such occasion I must say that I am deeply sorry and TA DA you now have something to read! YAY!
Its been just about two months since I’ve posted, and that is way tooooo long. So many things happen in so little time, especially when you have a little one who is growing like a weed. So what has happened? Well I went back to work, its been going okay lol.. same as usual. The great thing is that my manager has been really awesome about working with my schedule so that I work only on the days that my mom is off from her job so that way I don’t end up having to pay for any child care. Which is Awesome! Although there have been certain occasions where I must find a babysitter, but it isn’t too often. And the babysitter is not any random stranger but a person who I have known for a while and I know will take good care of my baby. But yeah, I do need to find a babysitter for July 3rd, because I am scheduled to work and as it happens its a day when my mom is also working. I totally understand why my manager scheduled me tho, I’m leaving on the 4th to take the baby up to Canada for 10 days so we can spend some time with Daddy and introduce him to Daddy’s side of the family. Everyone is really excited about finally getting to meet the baby, and I’m excited to finally give them the chance to get to know my precious little baby boy =D
Other news? Well we are kinda sorta buying a house, which I couldn’t be more thrilled about. It’s actually Kevin’s grandmothers house, she unfortunately passed away over Christmas time (she had cancer and also was getting to be up there in age..) anyway the house was left to her children (kevin’s dad and his aunt) and now Kevin’s dad is in the process of getting a mortage so he can pretty much buy his sister (kevin’s aunt) out of her part of the house, and then we would be paying off the mortage. So in a complicated way we are buying a house. Heh. I’ve been in the house a few times, but its been a few years and I can’t really remember all the details about it, but we will be staying in it while I’m up there for this visit, so after I get back I’ll be able to tell you all about it. The sucky thing is that although we are sort of buying a house and all, I still live with the baby at my house, in the states, and Kevin still lives in Canada. We are still countries apart but hopefully it won’t be for too much longer =)
I’m going to end this post now, its 12:30am ( i know the post will tell you otherwise) and its past my bedtime. I promise I will try my hardest to continue my posting spree with another post in the next 24 hours… with pictures even!!!!!!! *gasp*

I really feel like I need to get back to work, I’ve been on maternity leave for so long that I’ve gone almost completely braindead. Or at least thats what I feel like.. I also seem to have lost all interest in being creative, and don’t seem to get all that excited about much of anything. Hmm.. maybe I’ve got postpartum depression O_o that could be something worth looking into.. lol. I should be excited about getting on here and updating the world on my life and my precious little baby, not like oh god what could I possibly type on that thing. Seriously.
Anywho, as of Monday um.. April 26th? the baby (or Shelden as he is sometimes called) is up to 10lbs. 9oz. and 23 1/4 inches in length. So he’s still a long skinny thing, at least he is starting to fill out his chicken arms and chicken legs haha they are finally getting some meat on them. Although if he keeps this long and skinny thing up it’s going to be impossible to find clothes that actually somewhat fit the poor child. =( Pants in particular.
I have my postpartum checkup with the doctor on Monday, and then should be back to work on Tuesday. I need to go into work tomorrow and see if I have a schedule for next week yet, it’d be super nice if I did. Knowing my manager I probably have a schedule made out for like the next 2 weeks haha gotta love her. Work is probably gonna seem like an entirely different place once I go back, let me tell you.. a lot of changes can take place in a short 2 month period. Its friggin’ amazing.

So after Kevin (daddy) being here for the last 6 weeks he finally flew back home on Saturday. We miss him terribly
I can definitely say that I don’t know how single mothers can handle doing all this on their own! It’s such a hassle to take Shelden anywhere.. and if you go to the store and buy something, its a Major hassle getting it all into the house! lol It definitely helps out a LOT to have that other person around to help. So to all the single mothers out there, you have my complete and total respect because frankly, I don’t know how you do it!
Otherwise, mommy and baby are doing just fine
I’ll have to post more pictures a.s.a.p.!
